Online Appointment System

If you are registered on SystmOnline you will be able to book or cancel your appointment by clicking here.
To register on SystmOnline please bring a form of photo ID to the surgery reception and we will issue your login and password details.

You can book appointments between 4 and 6 weeks ahead. This is the best way to ensure you see the doctor of your choice.

48 Hour Booking

We keep some appointments for those who need to see a doctor within 2 working days. You will always be offered an appointment, but it is often difficult to give you the doctor of your choice.

Emergencies - if you need an urgent appointment today...

If you ring the surgery needing an urgent appointment today your call will be ‘triaged’. This means that the receptionist will take your details, ask you for a little bit of information about the problem (but please don’t worry if you would prefer not to tell the receptionist) and ensure that a doctor calls you back.

 When the doctor calls you back he/she will assess your problem and decide upon the best way for you to be treated. This may mean that the doctor will make an appointment for you to visit the surgery that day or it may be that the problem can be dealt with over the phone and you won’t need to come to the surgery.

All patients will be offered the earliest possible call-back time by the doctor and we guarantee that your call will be returned. Please be assured that all patients who need to be seen urgently by a doctor will be seen.

Extended Hours

We now offer appointments from 18:30 - 20:30 on a Monday evening, and from 06:50 - 08:00  on Tuesday and Friday mornings. This is to help those patients who find it difficult to get to the surgery during normal opening hours.

Telephone Advice

To save you having to visit the surgery you can phone and ask for medical advice. Just leave your name and number with reception, and a doctor will return your call as soon as possible.

Interpreters

We can arrange an interpreting/translation service if required for patients whose first language is not English.  Please let us know if this is needed when you book your appointment.

Timekeeping

Late arrivals make it impossible for the doctor to run to time, and so other patients are kept waiting. For this reason, if you are more than 10 minutes late you will be asked to re-book for another day, unless your need to see the doctor is urgent.

 We make every effort to ensure that surgeries run on time. However, there will be occasions when an emergency arises, or patients need longer than the 10 minutes allotted to them, and this results in you having to wait beyond your appointment time. We ask for your patience and understanding when this happens.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
